Because a tweet or facebook message isn’t long enough to thank everyone, I will wrap up all the great things that have happened to me in the past couple of months to share with you my side of the story.

It was like I woke up this morning with the idea of living in a dream for the last four months. But it isn’t! It all started with a friend texting me about some kind of contents with Armin van Buuren. When I checked it, I saw I could win a gig on A State of Trance 500 in Den Bosch. Being part of the biggest trance event in the history of EDM was like a dream come true. So I didn’t doubt for a second and made my first video at my attic studio at home. Two days later they called me: “You have been selected to play this Saturday at ASOT 500!” The news couldn’t be better! Playing a ‘home game’ (as I live very near Den Bosch) at ASOT was the best thing ever happened to me. With that in my pocket I was already a winner.

But the story continued. A great jury consisting of Ruben de Ronde (A&R Manger Armada), Dennis Ruyer (Radio 538 DJ/ Dance Department), Edwin van Dalen (Metro News Netherlands) and Norbert de Bot (Pioneer DJ School) picked 8 semi-finalist including me. The assignment for the semi-final was to create a guestmix for Sirius XM. This would be live broadcasted at A State of Sundays. And again DiVasco’s mix was chosen!

And if that wasn’t enough, DiVasco made it to the finals. Armin van Buuren himself announced on Dutch radio Radio 538 the two finalisten. DiVasco and Renvo were both picked by the jury to go for the final battle to decide who would be Seat’s Next DJ. In the last couple of weeks DiVasco and Renvo lived a truly artist life. With both an own single and video clip released on Armada Music, a tour through the Netherlands and an epic, unforgettable trip to Ibiza including a gig at the world famous Club Space, where the DJ’s opened the club in front of a crazy crowd.

With all this in my pocket, I am already a winner. I received so many great reactions from all over the world, got fans literally from the other side of this planet.

And it all ended with a big bang! Thursday the 28th of July was the day of The Final Battle. On this night, Renvo and DiVasco were both fighting for the title of Seat’s Next DJ. With an ecstatic audience and the two DJ’s blowing of the roof it was a hard choice to make for the jury and Armin van Buuren who announced the winner. And after some heavy discussion between the members of the jury, the voting from the last couple of weeks were deciding who won. And that was Renvo.

First of all, my honest congratulations to Joey a.k.a. Renvo! It was great working with you and I’m sure we we’ll meet each other soon.

And there are more people I want to thank! Of course my parents, for always being there for me and you never stopped believing in me. My girlfriend Maud for supporting me all the time! All my good friends and family, in particular my buddy Ton who is responsible for my website, logo and everything concerning multimedia.

Thank you, Armin van Buuren! It has been a great honor to meet you and play with you in Ibiza. Hopefully I can let you here more about me soon. It was great!

I want to thank Seat for making my dreams come true and giving me this ‘once in a life time’ opportunity. This is by far the best thing that has happened to me and I will never forget that.

Thanks to Armada. It’s an honor to have my single and clip released on one of the biggest and most well known labels in the EDM industry. Hopefully it is just the beginning of a great collaboration.

I had the time of my life, but it has just begun. This is a great start of my young and upcoming career as a DJ/producer and I'm determined to show the world more of me in the near future!

As you all may know, DiVasco made it to the finals of the SEAT's Next DJ contest (sorry for that news-item not getting through). Now, DiVasco releases his first track on the Armada label. The track is called 'Heat', and is available for download on iTunes here.

After noticing that the well-known car company Seat was holding this dj competition for Dutch upcoming artist, DiVasco didn’t doubt a moment. He immediately grabbed the camera and filmed himself mixing a special set for Seat’s Next Dj in his home studio. A few days later DiVasco got a phone call from Seat to congratulate him with the fact he was selected to play at A State of Trance 500 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch!

This is one of the biggest trance events of the year so far leaded by Armin van Buuren. The number one dj of the world has reached his 500th episode of his immense popular radio show A State of Trance. For that Armin van Buuren celebrates with 5 events on 5 different continents, uniting trance lovers from all across the globe.

DiVasco is one of the few lucky talents who will be playing at this part of trance history. Wednesday the 6th of April a (Dutch) interview will be placed in the national newspaper ‘Metro’.
